As many companies are paving their way to the Indian market with their smartphones, tablets and other devices. This time we have Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is a Chinese multinational company will be launching it’s MateBook 2-in-1, the company announced at its P9 phone gala event which was held at New Delhi.

The Matebook is Huawei’s first 2-in 1 computing device and it was first announced at MWC 2016. Matebook is a tablet that transforms into Window 10 –based laptop when it is connected to the keyboard cover accessory. This concept was made popular by Microsoft’s Surface line up. Huawei, Matebook also comes with optional pressure sensitive stylus accessory.

Much like the Surface, Huawei’s MateBook focuses on offering a mobile productivity solution that can also be carried around with ease. This tablet will be available in various colors such as grey and golden .It comes with full-metal unibody design with rounded edges .It is 6.9 mm in thickness and weighs 640 grams.

According to Huawei, the Matebook offers good screen to body ratio where screen takes 84% of the front. It is a 12-inch tablet which provides resolution of 2160×1440 pixels. Further, tablet has a finger scanner which has one-click mechanism embedded to the volume rocker for quick unlocking and USB Type-C connectivity port. It is equipped by 33.7Wh high-density Lithium battery which can deliver  up to 10 hours battery life when used regularly, according to Huawei.

It is available in Core M3, M5 and M7 processor variants. It starts at $699 which is app Rs 48,041 for its base variant that is equipped with Intel’s Core M3, 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD variant. Additional accessories are available and keyboard cover is priced at $129 while the stylus is available for $69 and Dock adapter is also available for Matebook which is priced at $99.

Moreover, Huawei’s stylus or MatePen provide 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity. It also comes with a laser pointer which you can use while making presentation.

Further, Huawei launched its phone P9 in India on Tuesday which is priced at Rs 39,999 and it also launched the stainless steel variant of the Huawei Watch which is priced at Rs 22,999.
